The head of state traveled to speak to national troops in the eastern front on the weekday. The president confirmed that he engaged with soldiers at the command post of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine Azov, which is leading defense efforts in the Dobropillya sector, a location approximately 20km from the city.

Intense Conditions in Pokrovsk

Recent mapping from a Ukrainian project showed that opposition armies had pushed further into Pokrovsk and nearby locations, though a large portion was not fully held by either side. The status is precarious, with updates indicating that Russian forces were fortifying positions and enhancing fortifications in certain areas.

Opposition armies are making progress in the Pokrovsk front and appear to be operating with growing ease within Pokrovsk itself.

Analysts noted that defense units had liberated a significant portion of a Russian penetration in the Dobropillya area, on the eastern flank of the Pokrovsk operation.

The Ukrainian president appealed to Washington to stay receptive to providing Ukraine with long-range weapons. Addressing a European Union summit from the Pokrovsk area, the Ukrainian president also called for more global measures on the nation – including on fuel and power segments – and said he sought accession to the union prior to the next decade.

The European nation plans to boost armed assistance to Ukraine by a substantial amount next year to about a significant sum, the finance ministry in the German government said on Tuesday.
