The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
